Website Issues, A Trip To A&E, & A Hot 10k Run

Website Issues, A Trip To A&E, & A Hot 10k Run

Last week started so well. I worked the bank holiday and, because it was a quiet day, I got caught up on loads of stuff.

Then it all went a bit haywire.

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I somehow managed to delete all my course content. Well, the same thing happened again.

I decided to switch my video hosting to a new platform so I bought the new plug-in and installed it into my site. While I was installing the new plug-in, I decided to update another plug-in and that's when all my course content disappeared.

I got back in touch with my website hosts, but this time it took a bit longer to resolve the problem. The software I'd paid for that was supposed to be backing up my content wasn't working properly and they were trying to charge me another $40 to fix the problem.

Eventually, the problem was resolved (at no extra cost). My course content was restored, I got the software working properly, and I even managed to update the plug-in.

Uploading the videos to the new host and then adding them to the relevant lesson pages took longer than I planned, but it did remind me how good my courses were and how much I included in them.

Anyway, once I'd got all my website issues sorted and my course videos working properly, I was ready to crack on.

Then, on Wednesday evening, my husband decided to faint while running and came home with a busted face and scratches and stings all over his arms (he somehow managed to land in a bush full of nettles).

Although he was feeling ok, we decided it was sensible for him to get checked out properly, so we ended up taking an unplanned trip to A&E on Thursday morning.

Fortunately, I didn't have any calls booked in but I had intended on getting some extra blog posts written. That didn't happen.

On the plus side, I did manage to complete a very hot and sunny 10k fun run at the Welbeck estate in Nottinghamshire yesterday. It's the first 10k I've done this year, and I did it in just over an hour. Given the temperature (and the size of the hill in the third mile), I was pretty pleased with my time.

So the week started well and finished on a high, despite the middle being a bit ropey. Let's hope this week is a little bit calmer and I can get that extra work done after all.

Anyway, here's your ten-minute task for the week ahead...
