My First Book Was An Accident
I often joke that my first book was an accident because it kind of was. I hadn't planned for it to be a book, and I'd written most of it before I knew I was writing one.

Way back in 2017, I had an idea for a series of blog posts - the A-Z of blogging. Each blog post would focus on a different letter of the alphabet and something blog-related starting with that letter (A is for Analytics, B is for Backlinks etc.).
My plan was to post one a day for 26 days. I would then turn them into a PDF with a bonus tip for each letter. That would be used as a lead magnet to get people on my email list.
I was about halfway through posting them when a client suggested I turn them into a book.
We were on a call about a project I was doing for her, and she mentioned that she had been enjoying my posts. She told me she was going to print them all out so she could make notes on them. I told her about my plan for the PDF version and promised to send it over when it was finished.
Two minutes after our call ended, she called me back.
