A Hotel Room, A Good Book and A Greek Meze
What would you do with eight uninterrupted, distraction-free hours?

My husband had an all-day event on Saturday that went on until late, and he wouldn't be able to get back to Leeds afterwards (neither of us drives). So we booked a hotel for both of us. The plan was for me to check in, he'd arrive much later, and then on Sunday we'd have a nice day out together.
And that's what happened. Off he went early Saturday morning to his event, and I travelled over to Manchester in the afternoon.
Once I'd checked in and eaten, I grabbed a pint from the bar downstairs, took it up to my room, changed into some comfy clothes and then read an entire book cover to cover.
No TV. No work. No household duties. No distractions. Just me, sprawled out on the bed with a chunky novel.
Bliss.
